I remembered a lot of times when we stop by cities such as Bangkok, Singapore or Kuala Lumpur, we will sometimes visit them just to get our Chinese cuisine craving satisified. Ding Tai Fung is one of our favourites when it comes to eating Chinese style dumplings and other cuisine. Here’s what we usually order:

Pork Xiao Long Bao

Comes in 6 pieces or 10 pieces. 6 Pieces is quite enough for 1 person. It has wa wonderful poprk texture with a little bit of broth which is packed wonderfully in this small bao. We usually eat it by using a spoon as the broth will have to be slurped and is hot at times we eat it. Definitely have to eat it while is hot.

For some people, they may choose to have chicken meat inside or some crab roe with the pork . Ding Tai Fung offers a few kinds of Xiao long bao to choose. It is served with young tender shredded ginger, and you will have to our some vinegar into it and eat with the Xiao Long Bao.

Braised beef noodle soup

 

A little bit spicy but with great beef taste. Stringy hand made fresh noodles are being cooked with a rich beef broth. Slices of braised beef are being served. Chunky but tender, the perfect taste of beef when it is eaten in a noodle dish. Both soft and hard textures are eaten together with the flavorful blend of beef and other spices. The slight spiciness keeps the excitement going for every slurp.

Spicy shrimp & Pork Wonton

A must-order appetizer for us. My travel partner always like to choose this dish whenever we go to the restaurant. Pork and shrimp is always a perfect combination when it comes to wonton. The distinct tastes and texture are all being eaten together with the silky skin of Wonton. Taste even better with the sauce which is both spicy and sour with the aroma of old vinegar.

Shrimp & Shredded Pork Fried Rice

For most ASEANers, rice is the most important element in any course of meal. The fried rice is authentic Chinese and does not have an oily taste to it. Using the lean part of pork and fresh shrimp, only freshness can be tasted. A High heat fire is a must to Fried rice as there will be an aroma of wok-heat being tasted in the rice. Served with fresh spring onions, each bite into the fried rice is such a comfort.

Fragrant Spring Onion & Shredded Pork Noodles

This is the best when it comes to aroma. Spring Onion Oil is one of the most sought oil for food lovers apart from pork oil. The aroma hits in together with the brewed soy sauce once it is served. Tenderness of the meat when eaten with the stringy noodles, is the best. Spring onion oil really makes a differences in this dish , if compared to other noodle dish here.
